"a "TIGER CRUISE" is a chance for relatives of the sailors to experience what living & working on a functional naval vessel is like. The navy will set you up with your own berth with the other sailors,(& fellow Tiger cruisers) feed you, & from what we are hearing put on an "airshow". You'll see all aircraft take off & get arrested, as well as a series of high speed flybys."

Tonight I ran in the snow. Well, I didn't actually run in the snow since the sidewalks were salted, but you know what I mean. It was cold, but not too windy and I was wearing gloves for a first time. My watch is really getting to the end of its battery, so I don't have a time. I can't imagine it was very fast, since I ran carefully as there were some frozen patches here and there. Made it back home safely.

I ran the 1-hour course today (home to Whole Foods, back over campus). 1:03. Felt wonderful. I love this distance. I felt some discomfort in my left hip during the run, and half-way for a minute or so in my right foot. Clearly I'm still getting back in the rhythm.

If I continue training like this I should be in good shape for the Raleigh Rocks Half Marathon in March.

A great time tonight -- 32:09. And 0 weird feeling in either of my knees (previous two runs I felt a tiny bit). Dare I say it... I'm getting back in shape.

It was very cold, 23 degrees and a chilly wind. Glad I now have a long-sleeve undershirt. 29 something until the traffic light.

Did the usual course; 33:56. Not bad! Made it again to the traffic light in under 30 minutes; I'm happy with that. Going up the stairs after the run I felt my knee a tiny bit weird, this time my left. It was really tiny, maybe it's the cold. Didn't feel anything during the run. Should sign up for Raleigh Rocks.

I was pleasantly surprised this morning, when I ran our usual course in 33:19 minutes, pretty fast. After Bulgaria our run took me 34:32.

All the way at the end of the run I felt my right knee a little bit weak, and when I felt it when I took a step on our stairs also. Nothing painful, but I felt it. I'm glad I decided against increasing my distance. Let's get some more 3 mile runs behind me before we increase mileage again.
